Janaka and Ashtavakra
The other day I was reading this Mythological fiction book and I am in love with it.
Janaka and Ashtavakra' by Ashraf is an appealing account of one of the unrevealed series of Ramayana presented in a captivating manner.
Janaka was the king of Mithila in ancient India. Ashtavakra was a sage who was born with eight physical deformities. According to Hindu mythology, Janaka was one of the disciples of Ashtavakra and they had many philosophical debates.
Ashtavakra is known for his teachings on Advaita Vedanta, which emphasizes the non-dual nature of reality. Janaka was a patron of philosophy and spirituality and was known for his wisdom. The dialogues between Janaka (Father of Sita) and Ashtavakra are considered to be some of the most profound and insightful discussions on the nature of reality in Hinduism.
The book beautifully sheds light upon the profound bond between the two in an interesting and well-presented manner for the readers.
